Classwork: Katherine is working on her 2nd of the series of 3. She will complete the series by the end of next week. April is working on another series of 3 portraits of students working in pen, but with watercolor washes- due date TBA.

Journal: 3 journal pages of human gestures in an environment, due at the end of next week.

Classwork: Work on Studio Project #2. April's is due on March 26. Catherine's is due on April 2nd.

Journal: Create 5 pages based on silhouettes of the human figure. USE A MODEL! Draw the figure first and then add a background that is appropriate. Due Thursday, March 25.

Homework: Make pencil drawing of your choice, but it must be from observation. Due next week.

Journal:Weird perspective drawings - make 5 double page spreads of unusual perspectives - under tables, in corners of the ceiling, under the faucet - THIS IS TO BE OBSERVATIONAL. You can't invent these pages. Add color - it can be expressionistic. Due March 15.

Homework: Make 5 gestural drawings of any person in your family using the techniques discussed in class on Monday and Tuesday. Due next Monday, March 15.

March 7 Artist Cafe Assignment

ASSIGNMENT #2:
Choose an artist from the forum (other than yourself) and write about what you think of the work posted. Don't choose your favorite - CHOOSE YOUR LEAST FAVORITE, and write why it is not pleasing to you. "I don't like this one because ...."
